From the President
Greetings Officers, Moderators, Ministry Leaders, Directors, Delegates, and Progressive Constituency.
I am delight to once again have the opportunity to welcome each of you to the this our 50th Annual Session of the Progressive Missionary & Educational Baptist State Convention of Florida, Congress of Christian Education, as assemble in the city of Lakeland.
Special thanks to the congress Director, Reverend Riley Henderson and his staff along with our Youth and Children’s Director, Elder Paul Buster and his staff, who have together and worked tirelessly to ensure our congress session will be rewarding and a blessing to all of us this week. To our host pastor, Dr. Jimmie Downing, and the Greater New Jerusalem M. B. Church family, along with the United Fellowship Association, who have also planned for us to have a successful week, thank you for your labor of Love.
We are looking forward with great anticipation for the teaching from the instructors, and the great preaching that will come forth from our preachers as they declare the “Good News” of Jesus Christ!
Finally, I want to welcome our visiting brothers and sisters who have come to share this week with us. May each of you, along with our entire constituency have a great experience in Lakeland and have a safe trip back to your homes!
